Aniruddh is very much a generalist who has grown up in the creative space. For 13+ years, he has illustrated, animated, composed, performed, directed, shot, edited and designed his way through various projects. Over the course of his career, he has also learned how these various mediums can work together to tell a cohesive and compelling story. Hard-won pragmatism coupled with practical knowledge of the possibilities of different artforms informs his approach to design strategy.
(Past Experience)
Aniruddh started working on magazine illustrations and short form videos in 2014, while still in college. His student work found its way into film festivals and art shows in Bangalore. After graduation, he worked in Dubai till 2017, working on design and communications for a variety of clients. Returning to India, he helped run an independent electronic music label while also establishing himself as a designer and filmmaker.
Since starting Spitting Image with his friends from college in 2021, he has completed a range of large-scale projects, from product launches to award-winning animated short films. This was achieved with clients and collaborators from commercial entities as well as with independent researchers.
His work as an artist and musician has led to an award from the Animator’s Guild of India, appearances in multiple music festivals in India as well as coverage from various media outlets and blogs.
