Shoumik Biswas, a multidisciplinary artist and designer is a co-founder at Spitting Image. With expertise spanning event design, illustration, sound design, and music, Shoumik brings a cross-sensory approach to their work. Whether it's designing immersive visual identities or building sonic landscapes, their work tends to be playful while remaining functional.
(Past Experience)
Since graduating from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology (2015), Shoumik has collaborated with a range of cultural and creative organizations including The Humming Tree, Swordfish Events, KAALO 101, NUMA Bengaluru, and California Burrito. They designed the Yakshagana stage at the very first edition of Echoes of Earth festival in Bengaluru, setting the tone for one of India's most celebrated eco-conscious music festivals. Being involved in the music landscape of India, Shoumik is no stranger to the events space - organising and managing shows across the country.
Shoumik’s work has earned recognition with a TOTO Funds the Arts Award for Music (2017) and an Animators Guild of India Award for Sound Design (2023).
