It was a great day for the publication nerds in our team when author Mahira Kakajiwala approached us to design and illustrate a children’s workbook for her project with Environment Society Oman (ESO). From designing mazes and stickers to working with a mirrored layout for the bilingual book, the whole process was an adventure that kept us on our toes. Getting the colour of a green turtle’s shell right is surprisingly tricky. The combined effort resulted in a book that is both immersive and well researched.
